Updates and notices
How an update reads in each channel
You write one update. Citizen Loop makes a version for each channel. Your update stays the source of truth. On the Review and send step, the How it reads in each channel card shows each version.
- The subject is the title.
- The email has the full message, the images, links to files and a Read the full update button.
- It can list upcoming dates on the same topics under "Coming up".
- The footer says why the resident gets the email. It has Manage preferences and Unsubscribe links.
Text message
- The text has your city name, the title and a link to the public page. It ends with "Reply STOP to opt out."
- The preview shows the number of characters and texts. Long titles and special characters, such as emoji, can make the message more than one text.
- Each text delivery costs the same, no matter how many parts it has.
Phone call
- An automated voice says "This is an automated call from" your city. Then it reads the title and the message.
- It asks if the person has questions. It answers only from the update.
- Numbers that have not confirmed yet are asked: "Do you want to keep getting calls? Say yes or press 1."
- The call ends with your city's phone number.
- Normal calls go out only between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. city time. Emergency calls go out at once.
- Citizen Loop prints and mails the letter.
- People at the same address share one letter. The name and code change for each household.
The web page
The How it looks on the web page card shows the public page. Residents see it when they open the link.
