Roles and permissions
Each person on your team has one role. The role decides what the person can write, send and see. Every role can see the Home page.
The five roles
- Admin. Everything, including team, billing and city settings.
- Communications manager. Writes, approves and sends updates and polls. Manages topics and the newsletter.
- Writer. Drafts updates and polls. Cannot send.
- Resident services. Looks up residents to answer questions. Sees profiles and feedback. Cannot send.
- Viewer. Read-only access to Home, sent communications and reports. No resident details.

Things to know
- A Writer clicks Submit for review instead of Send. A Communications manager or an Admin then approves it.
- A Communications manager cannot change the newsletter schedule. Only an Admin can.
- To see the role table in the portal, open Your team and select the Roles and permissions tab.
- Your city must always have at least one active Admin.
