The sidebar on the left holds the main pages. Your role decides which items you see.

| Communications | Write, review and send updates and notices. Open the newsletter. | Everyone |
| Polls | Make polls and see results. | Everyone |
| Feedback | Read and answer messages from residents. | Admin, Communications manager, Resident services |
| Topics | Make, rename, hide and retire topics. | Admin, Communications manager |
| Reports | See the results of each message that you sent. | Everyone |
| Your team | Invite staff and change roles. | Admin |
| Settings | City details, logo, newsletter schedule, web address and saved places. Only an Admin can change them. | Everyone |
Other parts of the screen
- New update and New notice. These buttons are at the top of the page. You see them if your role can write drafts.
- Communication balance. Admins see the balance above the account menu. Select Details to open the balance page.
- Account menu. Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar. The menu has Profile, Security and Sign out.
- Toggle sidebar. This button makes the sidebar smaller or larger. On a small screen, the sidebar opens as a drawer.
A banner about your web address
A yellow or red banner can show at the top of every page. It tells you that your city's custom web address does not work yet. Read Set up your city's web and email address to fix it.
